❓ Frequently Asked Questions

I've never sewn anything before—can I sign up?
Yes. The classes are designed for complete beginners as well. I'll walk you through every step and help you whenever needed.

What should I bring with me?
Just comfortable clothes and a desire to create. All tools and materials will be available in the workshop.

How many participants are in the course?
The course is one-on-one, meaning one participant and one instructor. However, if you’d like to come with a friend and share the experience together, we can work something out.

Will I really get to take home a finished pair of shoes?
Yes. You’ll leave with a complete pair of shoes that you’ll make yourself—and you can wear them right away.

Is the course physically demanding?
It’s intense—we work all weekend. But most participants manage it with a smile and enthusiasm.

Can I give the course as a gift?
Yes. I offer beautiful gift certificates—I’d be happy to arrange everything for you.

If you need more time for the course, we'll work something out on a case-by-case basis. It all depends on the model you choose, your individual pace, and how long you can keep working each day 🙂

I will be at your complete disposal

With all my equipment, experience, and expertise, I’ll guide your efforts to a successful outcome. You sketch your dream shoe, I’ll turn the design into a functional and feasible plan, and we’ll get to work together.

Before the workshop begins, we’ll have a consultation, and I’ll prepare everything you need so you can dive right in.
Together, we’ll select the materials, prepare the necessary parts, properly shape everything, assemble it into a whole, and give it a proper finish.
You’ll be cutting out, trimming, burning, painting, sawing, gluing, hammering, sewing, trimming, sanding…

Whatever you feel like doing. If there’s anything you’re unsure about or afraid of, I’ll help you—or I’ll even do it for you 😉
You can look forward to two days packed with information and intense creative activity.

So how will it all work?

To ensure we can finish the shoes in time, please expect the workshop to take up your entire day. The estimated hours for each day are 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. After paying the reservation fee of 2,000 CZK (non-refundable but transferable), we will arrange the method and date for a preliminary consultation. This should take place at least fourteen days before
the workshop begins. Please transfer the remaining balance of the course fee to the organizer’s bank account no later than 14 days before the course begins, or pay the balance in cash or via QR code directly during the pre-course consultation, as agreed.
The price includes all materials used. Shoe uppers are typically made of leather, though the use of other materials is not ruled out.
