📏 2. I’ll take your measurements
Ideally in person—we’ll measure your foot and take impressions. If that’s not possible, I can send you instructions on how to do it at home.
⬖ 3. Choose your materials
Together, we’ll select the type of leather, color, lining, and other details that will define the final style. Every detail is up to you—or I’d be happy to suggest options for you.
🪡 4. I make the shoes myself
Handcrafted, precise workmanship, and a great deal of quiet concentration. Production usually takes several weeks. If necessary and if possible, we’ll arrange a fitting before completion.
👣 5. Try Them On and Head Out
You’ll try on the shoes one last time—and if needed, we’ll make any final adjustments. You’ll leave with a pair that fits you perfectly and looks great on you.
Instructions for Measuring Your Feet for New Shoes
Materials
I most often sew with leather—or, as people commonly say, “skin.” Recently, I’ve started traveling to Italy myself to source leather, where I select from the best Tuscan tanneries.
If you'd like, I can also make the shoes out of fabric; so-called "scraps"—that is, scraps cut from baby-wearing scarves—have worked very well. I've collaborated with a company Vatanai. They feature beautiful colors and patterns, are soft to the touch, and hold sentimental value for many moms. Shoes can also be made from canvas or softshell; it all depends on the customer's preference.
The customer can choose the shoe's sole, tread pattern, thickness, and color according to their own preferences.
