What I offer:

  • I will make custom shoes for you according to your ideas.

  • I repair shoes from my workshop, and I also provide some repairs for other brands.

  • I will convert your shoes to barefoot.

  • I organize experiential shoemaking courses.

I am Jitka; some friends also call me Zowie, which is my acting and clowning nickname. My original (and still current) profession is a clinical radiological physicist. Sounds scary, doesn't it? 🙂 In any case, shoemaking became a passion for me, which eventually grew into a second job.
 

And how did it all begin?

One starts by sewing clothes for their children and family, gradually getting absorbed and completely engrossed in it, until one day they realize they have a closet full of handmade clothes but no suitable shoes to go with them. 
And so the idea arises that with a little creativity, another door could be opened into the world of craftsmanship. And behold, after some reading, some experimenting, a few trials and errors, the first pairs are created, suitable at least for the sandbox. But more is desired. So, one course leads to another, and gradually one discovers how much more there is to learn and that the world of shoemaking is vast and so varied that there's always room for growth. And that is its beauty.
